Code of Conduct on Vito

As a volunteer, you may be the point of contact for an attendee at the local event for a matter relating to the Code of Conduct.

If an incident is reported via the Vito platform, it will show up under Access > CoC Violation Reports as well as sent to safety@worldiaday.org, which is listed as the violation contact.

Reporting within Vi.to

Vi.to, our streaming platform, provides you with a built-in method for reporting Code of Conduct concerns. Within the Hub of your event,

  • click on the Code of Conduct section and if the below criteria fit your circumstances,

  • click on the Report a violation button.

  • provide any details to help us with our investigation and select whether or not to report anonymously. If you require follow up, you must select to include your email. Submissions will be sent to both the local organizers and the global team.

As an alternative, or an addition to reporting, you can choose to hide any posts from an individual by selecting the drop-down menu next to the post’s timestamp and select Hide post. If we deem that the offender’s post or conduct is in violation we may decide to hide all posts from the individual or remove them from the online event.
